What information do we collect about you?

The personal information that we store on our systems is limited to names, addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers and email addresses. We only store the information that you provide to us.

How will we use the information about you?

The information you provide to us is retained on our systems and used solely for providing a service to you, for our accounting purposes, and for occasional contact regarding upcoming events or for warranty purposes. For account customers we will not share your information with any third party unless it is at your request, for example for account references.

We may share your information with credit reference agencies and other companies for use in credit decisions, for fraud prevention and to pursue debtors.

How long we will keep your information

We will keep your information for as long as you have a relationship with us and for legitimate business interests, and then indefinitely to help us to provide a better service to you were you to contact us in the future. For example, keeping records of what machinery you have and what work we have carried out on that machine, to enable us to provide you with a better service in the future. You can of course request us to remove your data from our systems, with the exclusion of data which we are required to keep for legal purposes.

Protecting your information

The information we keep is stored in a private database held on a private business network with no external access. We will never share or sell your data to any other company for any other purpose, including for marketing. We also keep information on other devices i.e. phones, laptops, all of which are password protected.

All data is stored in secure locations.

Data which is no longer required or relevant is destroyed securely. We keep to an absolute minimum the number of staff who have access to your information, and all staff who have access receive appropriate data protection training.

Access to your information and correction

You have a right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. Where providing this information would take significant time and resources, we may make an appropriate fair charge for this service.

You have the right to ask us to erase Personal information that we hold about you, unless there is a statutory, regulatory or otherwise legitimate reason for us not to comply.

Please email or write to us using the contact details below, and we will erase the information we are able to within 10 working days and we’ll confirm with you directly once this has been done, and/or provide details of any data we can’t erase due to legal obligations to keep it.

If you have a concern about how we are handling your information, please do contact us in the first instance. You also have the right to raise your concerns with the information Commissioners Office (ICO) by following their procedures, which can be found at www.ico.org.uk.

If any of your personal information has changed or you believe we hold incorrect information, please contact us and we will amend our records. You can do this by emailing, telephone or in writing, contact details below.
